The Stephens Family YMCA provides inclusive programming and disability specific programming through our YMCA for youth and adults. We offer adaptive sports programming, including our newly formed Wheelchair basketball team, art programs, and other recreational opportunities. Larkin’s Place is a mindset of inclusion embedded within our YMCA, with a full time director working on inclusive practices and models. At the YMCA, you will find a universally designed building that is completely accessible to those with physical and intellectual disabilities. During school breaks, the YMCA offers childcare programming that can be accessible to youth with disabilities, including staffing children with inclusion counselors. The YMCA also has therapy services, and a sensory room which can be used by our members, so all people can find a place of belonging, and their individual needs being met.
